Why These Watermelons Cost More Than a Big-Box Watermelon
Somebody asked us this week why our watermelons cost a little more than the ones stacked in a cardboard bin at a big store. Fair question.
These are not the same watermelons stacked outside a big-box store. We pick them for flavor, we handle them fewer times, and we sell them while they are at their best instead of letting them sit for two weeks. You are paying for the melon being good, not for it being cheap.
If you cut one open and it is not right, tell us. We stand behind what is on the table.
